The pub was just up the road from where we were staying,on a fishing break. So glad we tried it. A great experience! What a fantastic little pub! The staff AND locals were very friendly and welcoming. The homemade food was amazing. And the whole place had such a great vibe. A proper old fashioned authentic pub. Highly recommend popping in if you're in the area!

Well worth a visit. Family In one word…outstanding, food was fantastic, price was great, the atmosphere was chilled and relaxed. I listening to old soldiers (at a different table) tell war stories made my day. I seriously recommend stopping in if you are in the area. Not only will you get good food at a great price, it’s possible you could learn something to, I did.

Good Atmosphere, Delicious food. We were in the area and visited this pub twice for lunch, including a very tasty and generous Sunday lunch. There was a big open fire, and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. The food was well-presented and tasty. We met Chris the Landlord – lovely chap. Dogs are allowed in this pub, just not in the carpeted area. Well worth visiting but probably best to book if you want a meal. You won’t be disappointed.
